Description

Help to preserve the forest around a medieval castle in the South of France and spend holidays in an exceptional environment!

Located in the heart of the Regional Park of the Monts d'Ardèche, the castle of Maisonseule is a medieval building dating from the 13th century. Damaged with time, the castle was renovated and now welcome visitors. Yet much remains to be done, whether for the renovation of buildings or maintenance of the 85-hectare park!

The project brings together a group of ten volunteers, French and international for 10 days. Aged 18 and over, the volunteers work in connection with the team of the castle while experimenting with collective living.

The workcamp will contribute to the reopening of hiking trails in the castle park and around: The mission is to prune and pick up branches fallen in the winter on the hiking trails and open new passages.

Volunteers stay in a private and comfortable farmhouse entirely renovated dating from the XVIth century.

Volunteers work 5 hours a day, 3 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and can enjoy to walk in the forest or swim in the beautiful swimming pool of the castle the rest of the time.
