This is an exciting opportunity to train as an English Language teacher in Italy with one of the country’s most well-respected educational organisations. A.C.L.E. has over 35 years experience educating Italian students and teachers, as well as mother-tongue tutors, in its unique approach to language teaching.

Each summer, we welcome around 350 tutors from across the world to teach on around 300 camps. We believe the cultural exchange experienced during this programme is undoubtedly one of the highlights.

The study programme comes with the following benefits:
- TEFL.TP Certification
- A generous study grant, provided by A.C.L.E. Fondazione, which is based on the number of weeks spent teaching
- Full board and lodging, generally with host families
- Travel expenses within Italy from one camp to another
- Insurance against accidents connected with camp activities

Applicant requirements:
- Mother tongue English speaker (or of equivalent proficiency)
- A passion for working with children
- Aged 19 or over
- A teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential
- Must be able to attend one of our June orientations in Italy, followed by at lest 3 weeks of camps

All applicants attend a one-week intensive training course where they learn everything they need to know about teaching English through theatre and play. Once trainee tutors have completed the orientation they attend a minimum of 3 weeks in camps across Italy from the Alps to Sardinia, putting their training into practice, teaching children and having the time of their lives.

Credit Available


Trainee tutors will receive money to help finance their participation in the program through a paid study grant, which is based on the number of weeks spent teaching.
