Volunteer with Blue Ventures and explore the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere.

Belize is home to the stunning Bacalar Chico Marine Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site where our marine conservation work is based. Our dive expeditions offer volunteers from around the world a unique opportunity to assist our field scientists and conservationists, and get involved in our critical marine research and community conservation work.

During an expedition you'll be given all the necessary scientific and dive training to be able to contribute to our marine research and data collections, engage with the remote community of Sarteneja with homestay and community activities, and then make your way to our idyllic dive camp where you’ll be living in a beautiful tropical setting alongside vibrant coastal cultures and calm waters. Here you'll conduct your dive survey's and immerse yourself in an underwater paradise.

Our expedition volunteers are at the heart of everything we do and we’d love to have you join us! For a detailed guide on our Belize marine conservation expedition, follow the link below.
