This program gives students the chance to participate in different service initiatives, including teaching and helping with book distribution in rural communities. Help in the construction of vital community infrastructure as well - such as latrines, wells, and school buildings. There is also an opportunity to host a medical clinic for the villagers of the Volta Region.

Bright Light Volunteers is designed to empower program participants and community partners through education and service. Specifically, our programs adhere to global service-learning best practices, which combine community service with both experiential learning in the field and online coursework through our university partner. Our vision is to make the world a brighter place by creating a more peaceful, just, interconnected world where global challenges and opportunities are met by educated, compassionate, global citizens and leaders.

**Please Note** All BLV programs are designed for groups of at least 10 participants. Groups must be formed prior to scheduling. We do not place individuals.

Typical Volunteer
Bright Light Volunteers empowers students with the ability to design and plan their own cross cultural experiences across the globe. We seek to help facilitate student directed and planned trips to communities that are in need of help, and we look for safe opportunities for students to do sustainable good. Not only will students develop a global backdrop for the rest of their educational and professional lives, they will also gain invaluable experience in self-directing their own projects. Bright Light Volunteers enriches the communities it serves, and the students who serve those communities.
