Are you tired of using the expression, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do?" Stop saying it and just do it! Join World Explorers in Italy and experience the country as a local.

In exchange for a clean and comfortable room and full board, all you have to do is share your native language with your hosts for 15 hours per week. The goal for your family is to practice their conversational English. This is not about teaching them reading, writing and grammar. To them, this program is about engaging in conversation and feeling comfortable communicating in English with you. No prior teaching experience is necessary!

CHI works with trusted partners in Italy to find the best host families possible for you. Our placements may be all over the country. We ask that you please be flexible with your exact location in Italy. Recent placements have been near Florence, Rome, Milan and Torino. Family is perhaps the most important aspect of Italian culture. Italians have frequent family gatherings and enjoy spending time together. Become part of a new family!
