Description

Looking for archaeological treasures? The history of Naples goes back a few thousand years. Its neighbors, Pompeii and Herculaneum, are world-famous archaeological sites. Buried by eruptions of Mt. Vesuvius, they were preserved for posterity, while Naples continued on as a vibrant and evolving city.

Still buried beneath the modern city, there is a wealth of archaeological wonders. A group of archaeologists has formed an organization to preserve some of these relics from the past. As a volunteer, you can contribute to their research activities or help with cataloging materials. You can also participate during the opening of the areas they care for, assisting visitors, providing tours in different languages, and other activities.
