ELI Abroad has numerous opportunities for conservation work in Ecuador. First choice for many is the beautiful Machalilla National Park which rivals the Galapagos with its unique species and diverse ecosystems.

Experience the incredible beauty of Ecuador with ELI while assisting local organizations and gaining a deep understanding of the people and culture in a volunteer and internship program.

Volunteers work in community run organizations, gaining firsthand knowledge of complex development issues the country is facing. Volunteers can work with a conservation project aimed at activities that promote reforestation, animal rescue, and finding environmentally sustainable income sources for locals.

1. Help efforts to conserve the ecological diversity of Ecuador.
2. Gain international volunteering experience while helping local communities face development issues.
3. Live with a host family in various locations in Ecuador.

Participants in this program need to be ready for basic conditions which may include camping for a week or two at a time. Also, keep in mind that conservation are in less developed rural areas where there may not be reliable services such as electricity.
