Description

ELI is proud to partner with an organization devoted to rescued elephants and habitat conservation in Northern Thailand! ELIers bathe, feed, play, clean, cut grass for meals, make medicine balls, educate visitors about elephant conservation and deforestation, and spend most of their time caring for the mother and baby elephants.

Elephants used to roam across Asia, but now they are restricted to about 15% of that expanse. Asian elephants are endangered due to this habitat loss, as well as human conflicts and illegal poaching. At the camp, rescued elephant are provided a safe, caring and ethical environment, while the nursery seeks to preserve Thailand’s baby elephants for future generations.
