Based on a private ecological reserve in the rainforests of northern Costa Rica, this Eco-Reserve and Animal Rescue Center was founded to give endangered, injured and abandoned animals a home. Volunteers a the project focus on rehabilitating animals and releasing the back into the wild.

Volunteers will have a chance to help:
-- With various conservation projects
-- Work in the greenhouse
-- Maintain trails on the reserve
-- With construction of new habits
-- With community outreach efforts in the area

1. Help feed, observe, and administer general care to animals.

2. Assist with various conservation projects and work in the greenhouse.

3. Lend a hand in maintaining trails on the reserve.

4. Aid in the construction of new habitats for the animals.

5. Spanish lessons available on-site for additional fee.


- Must be at least 16 years old
- Consent to criminal background check for volunteers 18 and older (Greenheart Travel will process this for U.S. citizens)
- Beginner level of Spanish; intermediate or higher preferred
- Be a citizen of the EU, USA, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa or Canada
- Willingness to help with any and all needs of the project
