GIVE - Growth International Volunteer Excursions

2442 NW Market St. #425 Seattle, WA 98117 United States

Get the chance to have a meaningful volunteering experience while exploring the "Land of Lakes and Volcanoes,” from the undeveloped tropical islands of the Caribbean coast to the rural fishing villages on the Pacific Coast. Based in the poorest country in Central America, the projects are designed to provide technical and English education, economic opportunities for locals, and housing for single-mother families - all while stopping along the way to surf Pacific waves, sandboard down an active volcano, snorkel in Caribbean reefs, and watch baby sea turtles.

Volunteers can arrive one week early for the Spanish immersion program, wherein they learn the language from local teachers while exploring the colonial city of Granada. They can also extend their stay for another eleven days and take part in an innovative SCUBA Reef Conservation Program, wherein they enjoy over ten dives, earn a PADI Scuba Certification, help conserve the ecosystem, among other things.

1. Work alongside locals building critical infrastructure out of eco-friendly materials, and broaden local kids' horizons with English lessons.

2. Release baby Sea Turtles to protect the endangered Hawksbill species.

3. Sandboard down Nicaragua's youngest and most active volcano, snorkel in the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean Ocean, and scuba dive in the pristine blue waters of the Caribbean while exploring and protecting vibrant coral reefs!

4. Immerse yourself in the historical city of Granada while learning Spanish and living with a local family.

5. Make lifetime friends from all over the world!
