This program is for participants in their gap year or long-term holiday who would like to learn Spanish in Costa Rica and participate in international community service.

The program blends Spanish language and culture courses with service learning. Participants are able to put to use their Spanish language learning while at their service site.

Our program participates in a wide variety of worthwhile service opportunities. Each week includes at least one project in Social Responsibility, Environmental Conservation, or Animal Welfare based on the community needs. Some of the participant service placements may include:

Sea Turtle Conservation
Veterinary Assistance and Aid
Stray Animals Rescue and Adoption Program
Teaching Abroad: Community education classes (English language, valuable skills, etc.)
Community Development (playsets for schools or parks, painting of local buildings)
Family and Community Support Center for Local Village
Indigenous Tribe: Promoting Awareness and Cultural Preservation
Child Care for At-Risk Children
Aiding Children with Special Needs
Environmental Conservation and Increasing Awareness
