Volunteers on this program will have the opportunity to join a variety of conservation efforts focused on the protection of the marine ecosystem in the Coastline of Portugal. In collaboration with a diving school which has a special emphasis on the local environmental protection you can:

• Take internationally recognized Diving certifications
• Explore the Portuguese coastline underwater world
• Learn about the marine ecosystem and how to protect it
• Collect trash from the bottom of the Ocean to recycle it
• Work with the local community - educate them about environmental issues, conservation, and protection of biodiversity and marine resources.

You will always be supervised by an experienced diver instructor and will receive comprehensive training on the marine conservation subject.

Any person can participate, from beginners (starting with the Open Water Dive Certification) to more experienced divers, as the program is adapted to your diving experience. Observe fish of all colors, touch weird seaweeds, explore caves, discover boat wrecks and much more. You will discover a Portuguese treasure unknown to many and loved by those who are brave enough to take this challenge.
