Marine Conservation volunteers provide support to underwater clean-up efforts, helping to reduce ocean pollution and to conserve marine life. As an ocean conservation volunteer, you’ll use and improve your scuba diving skills while actively participating in the restoration of the natural state of the Mediterranean's marine ecosystem.

If you haven't tried diving before, gain some experience before engaging in any underwater conservation activities. The Program Fee covers the cost of required online and in-person training, full scuba equipment, and supervision from an experienced dive instructor.

All volunteers complete internationally recognized PADI diving certifications. Depending on your current diving experience and the length of your stay, you’ll complete a certification ranging from Open Water Diver to Advanced Open Water Diver. The project works with a local diving school, therefore you are always supervised by an experienced dive instructor.

Be aware that the staff speaks mostly Spanish and have a limited English so you should be ready to take this challenge.
