This project provides extracurricular classes for local children, youth and adults who need additional education support, and who would otherwise be unable to afford extra lessons.

Volunteers on the Teaching project assist predominantly in teaching English to students. Those with an intermediate level of Spanish may also teach Spanish in other projects that involve working with migrant communities. Volunteers play a crucial role in exposing students to new subjects. They are also encouraged to organize activities that foster learning about different cultures and countries while learning English.

The Teaching project is highly rewarding and, through sharing knowledge and life experiences, volunteers can demonstrate that anything is possible with a bit of hard work. They work with the support of a local team and placement staff, so they don't need to be qualified or experienced teachers to participate. However, we encourage volunteers to come prepared by completing some relevant training, like a TEFL course.

Be aware beneficiaries and staff speak mostly Spanish and have a limited English so you should be ready to take this challenge
