Generally, the only requirement for IVHQ volunteers is to be fluent in English. However, for most of the Medical and Healthcare projects, volunteers must be qualified or training in a relevant medical field (documentation be presented to partner organization on arrival in host country).

Volunteers pay a registration fee of US$299 which covers 24/7 support from an IVHQ program manager, online volunteer training, a comprehensive program guide, and access to deals on flights and travel insurance.

They then pay a program fee, dependent on the duration of their volunteer program, which covers accommodation and meals during volunteer placement period, airport pick up, orientation, program supervision, In-country 24/7 volunteer support and In-country administration costs. Volunteers are responsible for their own flights, visas, travel insurance and vaccinations (where required).
