Description

As an IVHQ volunteer on the After School Support project in Spain you will work with local centers to provide care and support students from disadvantaged communities with their education. Tasks involved can include assisting with homework, running workshops and tutoring English. Ranging from the ages of 7 to 17 years, the children are looking for interaction and a positive role model to look up to. Some initiative is required as resources are limited, volunteers who are proactive and eager will enjoy the After School Support project. As the after school support is in the afternoon, volunteers will have the mornings free to explore Madrid or take Spanish lessons.
