Study at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola and then volunteer in the rainforest in this unique opportunity! The seven-week Summer Study Abroad and Service in Peru – Conservation Track program is a combination of academic studies and service initiative in a Peruvian rainforest. You will live with a local host family in Cusco and in a comfortable purpose-built hut in a jungle eco-camp.

Spend the first 5 weeks taking 2 courses in either English or Spanish, choosing both OR one from the Conservation track and the other a Spanish Language Class based on your level. Classes include visits to local establishments to provide more hands-on training. Afterwards, you will proceed to the Peruvian forest to learn about and participate in conservation efforts. You will stay in a sustainable community for two weeks or longer, working alongside local experts and researchers.

The Summer Study Abroad and Service in Peru program is open to students with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Please talk with a Kaya advisor for specific start dates and program details.
