Do you want to visit this far-flung nation and help to restore it's stunning native beauty?

Based in either uber-cool Wellington with is cafes and culture, Auckland where volcanos dot every skyline and you are never far from the water to the remote and rugged West Coast of the South Island; this project takes volunteers into the many regional parks, private reserves, waterways and wetland areas that make this country so very special.

New Zealand is incredibly rich in nature and diverse natural beauty from it's waterways, mountains, forests, native bush and coastlines. However, like so many other countries, humans have had an adverse impact on the environment and actions must now be taken to reverse and preserve these important attributes.

Volunteers are placed on a variety of projects which may include planting, clearing unwanted flora, restoring parks, maintaining wetland areas - and can even involve rescuing animals such as beached whales.

Accommodation is provided on or near the project site and may involve staying in tents, caravans, hostels or Volunteer Houses. In all cases 3 meals are provided daily throughout the placement.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old at the start of the placements (unless accompanied by an adult). A good command of English is required.
