Are you a Doctor, Nurse, Med or Pre-Med Student? Your skills are desperately needed in Zambia!

Health care professionals and med-students have the opportunity to volunteer in remote areas of Zambia. They will be working alongside local hospital medical teams as they visit rural villages on regular outreach programs.

This is an amazing opportunity to experience first-hand how the main hospital in the Mwandi area is able to reach a population of more than 33,000 people, most of whom live in very remote small villages scattered over an area of approximately 400sq kilometers.

While working on the outreach programs volunteers need to be prepared to learn new ways to complete tasks and be willing to think outside the box when working with patients due to lack of resources. This is a great opportunity for volunteers in the medical field to get experience in different areas of medical care and also to share learning and knowledge with the locally trained staff.

Volunteers also have the opportunity to work in the 60 bed hospital in Mwandi, where duties assigned to medical volunteers will be dependent on the individuals interests and expertise.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old at the start of the placements (unless accompanied by an adult). A good command of English is required.
