Love Volunteers offers volunteering opportunities in a wildlife protection program in amazing South Africa. International volunteers have the opportunity to make a real difference to animal conservation in South Africa by participating in this program and can have hands-on experience with caring for wildlife.

Located in Port Elizabeth, known as The Friendly City, in the Eastern Cape of the country, this program is a hands-on conservation project, with volunteers working in a game reserve to help preserve the country's magnificent native animals, including the Big 5 – lions, elephants, leopards, rhinoceros, and buffalo.

Volunteers will gain experience in a multitude of tasks, from actually working in an elephant sanctuary, to feeding animals and tracking and monitoring endangered species. For volunteers who love the natural world and want to protect wildlife and their natural habitats, this program delivers a unique experience. Animals lovers who want to play their part in protecting some of the world's most spectacular, and endangered animals, will find this program ideal.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and should have a good command of English. A measure of experience in the field in which they are volunteering is also sought, as is a responsible, enthusiastic and compassionate attitude. Initiative and self-motivation are qualities that are greatly welcomed on all projects. Volunteers who will be working directly with children must file a certified police background check before their start date.
