From sloths to Jaguars, and toucans to spider monkeys - animal lovers will jump at the chance to participate in this amazing program! International volunteers have the chance to make a real difference to animal conservation in Costa Rica by participating in this program. Projects are run through animal rescue centers located throughout this stunning country. Volunteers will be assigned placements in either Quesada, Jaco, or Turrúcares, working for animal rescue centers at the heart of rescue and conservation efforts. While each center has their own specialization or area of focus for their work, at the heart of each is a mission to rescue Costa Rica’s precious indigenous wildlife from unhealthy and illegal situations such as poaching and animal-trafficking, or who have been forced from their natural habitat, injured, orphaned or become sick thanks to increasing interaction with humans and/or domestic pets. For volunteers who love the natural world and want to protect wildlife and their natural habitats, this program delivers an amazing experience.
