Known for their extraordinarily long tongue and small size, the sun bears are commonly referred to as the "cutest" bear in the world. Facing increasing threats from pet trade, illegal hunting, and habitat destruction, conservation is extremely important to protect these sun bears.

Volunteers will work alongside animal welfare experts at a rehabilitation center, which is set up to rescue bears from cruel captivity. They will help to create enrichment tasks, monitor the bears, and help to preserve and improve their enclosures. It is important that volunteers are willing to get stuck in, and they should be passionate about the welfare of these amazing animals.

Surrounded by the lush rainforests, volunteers will live in a shared, traditional house. There will be lots of time to explore the surrounding lakes and country parks. Plus, the rainforest is home to many other incredible animals!
