Spend some time in the wild coastal areas of Costa Rica, working with a local charity to help protect adult and baby turtles facing extinction and are increasingly at risk. This programme offers you the opportunity to be part of a vital project that aims to ensure that as many turtles as possible make it out to sea.

Surrounded by stunning, golden beaches and living in a Costa Rican cabin - right at the heart of a community, there is plenty to do and see.

An ideal volunteer should be enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare. Your dedication is critical to the success of the charity's work with turtles.

1) Hands on experience with turtles,
2) The opportunity to make a real contribution to important research that will be used to help form campaigns to change regulations that endanger the species in Costa Rica
3) Amazing immersion into Costa Rican life and culture- a great way to learn some Spanish!
4) Making friends and memories for life
5) Live on Costa Rica’s pristine beaches, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, in locations that are unspoiled by tourism.
