By volunteering at the Elephant Care and Wildlife Rescue centre you will make a major contribution to the welfare of animals in Thailand.

You will be part of a group of volunteers spending 2 weeks volunteering at the centre. There is no such thing as a 'typical' day but everyday jobs include:
* Feeding and providing water for the animals
* Assisting with cleaning the enclosures
* Harvesting of pineapples/bananas for the elephants

Other possible tasks include
* Construction of new cages and enclosures
* Working on enclosure enrichments
* Maintenance work for cages and the gibbon islands
* Keeping the centre's grounds clean
* Caring for rescued dogs on site

The team will spend one week on the Elephant Care volunteer role and one week on the Wildlife Rescue role working six days per week from around 6am to 5pm with regular breaks.

Much of the work at the centre is manual unskilled labour; the centre would not be able to run without the hard work of the volunteers. On a personal level you will have a unique opportunity to work alongside some incredible wildlife and gain the satisfaction of helping to make a difference to their lives.
