Description

Are you working towards a major in dentistry or do you already have sufficient experience? Whether you’re a student or skilled practitioner, this medical and healthcare program in Ghana is a wonderful opportunity to broaden your expertise.

Join our Dentistry projects in Accra, where you will meet other interns from around the globe. The placement will be in the dental department of La Polyclinic, a facility in central Accra. Our coordinator and project supervisor, who is a member of the hospital staff, will discuss your work schedule upon your arrival at the hospital.

This Dentistry internship in Ghana will help you develop relevant skills and acquire experience through shadowing. You will learn from local dental staff while getting exposed to various conditions and treatments you won’t likely witness at home.

Highlights

In Cape Coast, the Central Regional Hospital has options for physical therapists, nurses, midwives, dentists, and general medical interns. It is one of the most modern hospitals in Ghana with a wide range of departments and lots of new equipment.

In Koforidua, the citys regional hospital is a large state-run hospital that offers placements to anyone with skills or an interest in Physical Therapy, Nursing, Midwifery, and Dentistry

In the semi-rural Akuapem Hills, the hospital is smaller, but still has a range of different departments where interns can work. Small village clinics in Ghana often lack even basic healthcare facilities, so you the hospital services a large and any many of the patients will have travelled a long way to reach a hospital with the facilities they need.

In Kumasi, medical interns work in one of six busy city hospitals serving between them over 1.5 million people. You can focus on a range of specialties, including Nursing, Midwifery, and Dentistry.
