Raleigh Expedition is an international volunteering program, open to all and engaging young people from around the world. The program is designed to blend experiential learning with hands-on project work, deep cultural immersion, wilderness exploration and meaningful community engagement. Check out the information below and get in touch to learn more about our impactful programs.

Our Costa Rica Expedition encourage young people to create long-lasting changes through hands-on projects that tackle environmental issues, access to education for all, and alleviation from poverty. This runs for 4, 6, 7, and 10 weeks throughout the year, so you can join on your gap year.

Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world and home to national parks, volcanoes, and stunning landscapes.

Raleigh Expedition is one of the first UK programs to be accredited by the Gap Year Association (GYA) and recognized by TeenLife as a Top 15 Most Popular Gap Program in 2020. We have been developing and providing responsible volunteer programs for young people for more than 37 years.
