Volunteer on a four-week, seven-week, or 10-week Raleigh Expedition to conserve and protect the environment; to work alongside local people on the issues they face; and to challenge yourself to tackle new terrains.

Join an Expedition in Costa Rica and come to one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, home to national parks, volcanoes and stunning landscapes. You'll be able to work on up to three exciting projects - community, environmental and adventure.

If you take part in the environmental project you'll work alongside the innovative young people of Costa Rica, leading the international fight against climate change. Costa Rica aims to be Carbon Neutral by 2021 and is well on its way to achieving this.

During your Expedition you could help conserve Costa Rica’s biodiversity by working with local scientists and rangers to improve access to national parks through improving trails as well as increasing environmental awareness in local communities through education initiatives.

It’s a real volunteer experience you will never forget.  Real people, real projects, real change.
