This September, join an exciting sustainability volunteer program on South Africa's beautiful Garden Route! It's a week-long project that allows you to plant trees, assist with forest management, and learn about a wealth of environmental issues. You'll be based at the stunning Wild Spirit Lodge, near Plettenberg Bay; an area of indigenous forests, pristine beaches, and picturesque towns.

As a volunteer on this program, you can expect to get involved in a wide-ranging variety of activities. You'll help plant between 2000 and 3000 trees, participate in much needed alien clearing in the forest, and help paint environmental murals that spread messages of sustainability. You can also expect to learn a lot about environmental issues through workshops and lectures. These will touch on topics such as reforestation, urban greening, eco-building, and food security.

Not importantly, there will be live music, great food, and good company!

This environmental volunteer program is an annual event, and this year the dates are September 20 - 27.
