Description

Getting old is a path that we all must travel. There are many elderly persons who have no one to take care of them and so they are put in a government home for the final years of their lives. Think about how awesome it would be for you to assist in one of these homes and assist with the daily care of these persons.

As a volunteer you will help with basic grooming, stimulating activities such as indoor and outdoor games, nature walks, massage therapy, help with the preparation of meals and general care of the residents and the facility. You will have the opportunity to read for them, share stories and just help to make them comfortable. Volunteering on this project allows you to contribute to the care of the elderly in a meaningful way.

Highlights

1. Contribute to the ongoing development of the elderly in Jamaica.

2. Work directly with the elderly and make sure they are comfortable in the final years of their lives.

3. Experience the unique culture of Jamaica.

4. Provide support to organizations that do not have enough staff.
