The nursing program is for volunteers who have a passion for helping others. With the overcrowded, understaffed and limited resources within the healthcare system in Jamaica, volunteers are needed to provide additional support to hospitals and health centres. There are many specialists and generalists areas in which volunteers can work. This includes general medicine, accident and emergency, adolescent health, child health, curative, community health and many others. Dependent on your interest, skill sets or studies we will be able to place you in an area of need. As a volunteer, you will work alongside doctors and nurses to provide support and assistance for the day-to-day care of patients.

1. Contribute to improving the health care of at-risk population in Jamaica.

2. Assist in working directly with vulnerable communities by promoting healthy lifestyle practices.

3. Assist in health education and preventative care.

4. Providing support to organizations that are short staffed.

5. Contributing to the realization of some of the sustainable development goals.

Dependent on placement, however volunteers who have various types of experience, levels of study or interests can apply.
