Description

The National Registration Center for Study Abroad Study and Volunteer in Cusco, Peru, program includes 20 hours of group Spanish classes per week and a four-week volunteering placement in a wide range of fields. The program begins with a four-week Spanish study program. Volunteers will spend 20 hours per week in group Spanish classes with one to four other students. English will not be used in these classes. Each class is 55 minutes in length. Although volunteers may opt to study Spanish longer than four weeks, they will be placed in a volunteering position immediate after the fourth week. Placement opportunities are available in the fields of Social Services, Healthcare, Orphanage, Education, and Indigenous Community.

Qualifications

U.S. citizens traveling on regular passports for tourism or business do not need a visa for a stay of 90 days or less. Those planning a longer visit must obtain a visa in advance.

Minimum age of 18 unless accompanied by an adult. Volunteer positions on a space available basis. These are unpaid positions and there is a limited number of positions every month.
