Due to limited resources, time, and knowledge, Jamaican children and young people suffer from little or no support. The child and youth development program aimed at improving their emotional and physical wellbeing by equipping them with the necessary skills to cope and understand their emotions.

Volunteers will:

- Create and deliver workshops aimed at improving emotional awareness
- Offer one-to-one support to students
- Aid in reducing the stigma surrounding mental health

In order to help volunteers make the most impact on this project, you are required to complete a 12-hour online training program in managing challenging behavior in Jamaica schools. This is an accredited certification and is recommended that volunteers complete the course before starting their volunteer program in order to be as effective as possible.

Training will cover the following topics; Anger, stress and worry, happiness, and love. There will also be scope to develop and explore other topics with the support of the online training platform and app tool. The program is delivered independently by UK-based Neuro Champions.
