Help run authentic African stables on this volunteer project abroad! The Horse Management and Lion Conservation project in Antelope Park, Zimbabwe, involves a unique approach to the ongoing protection of highly threatened African lions.

As a volunteer, you will handle hands-on work such as cleaning the stables and caring for the horses. Take on riding activities and assist with guest activities that involve horses. Plus, get the chance to see iconic African lions face to face, and learn about their characteristics while caring for them.

Besides working at the stables, you’ll have plenty of time for fun. Ride on and swim with the horses in the dam or go on early morning and sundown rides through the bush.

Antelope Park offers horse-riding lessons, horse safaris, carriage safaris, and polocrosse and show jumping. The park houses over 30 horses and proud to have two world-class fields and a practice field. They welcome everyone, from beginner to advanced riders, so no previous riding experience is needed.
